Prize for Tolerance

Periodically, after due consideration by the Foundation Board, an Ousseimi Foundation  Prize for Tolerance of CHF 50,000 is awarded to a person  or institution whose ideas and, in particular, whose overall work and activity in terms of education and commitment in supporting the respect for human rights make or have made a decisive contribution to greater understanding amongst mankind and to a more tolerant world. The prize may be awarded posthumously. It may also be awarded to an event.

The Ousseimi Foundation Prize for Tolerance consists of:

  • a bronze sculpture designed by Lebanese artist Karim CHAAYA
  • an exposé of the reasons for the award of the prize
  • a certificate
  • a cheque for CHF 50,000
